Happy 4th of July! Thank you to all who came out on Saturday for the Installation of our new officers across all four families. This is why our Post thrives – because we show-up for each other! I invite all members to renew their commitment to support our new officers as they find ways to grow our membership and continue to bring you the activities and events you love! As we celebrate the 250th Birthday of America let us recommit to our mission of serving Veterans, their families, and our community! Legionnaire meetings are the third Monday each month and all Legionnaires are invited to attend - we want you to be involved with what is happening at your Post!
Come join the Post leadership in Gulfport’s Annual 4th of July Parade on Saturday morning! Our Post Float will lead the event right behind the Color Guard. Chef Jackie and the kitchen team will be putting on a hot dog and hamburger cookout for $5 that afternoon. Live music starts at 1:00 and karaoke into the evening!
Finally, our Post found ways to give back to our community this month in a meaningful way. We were Patriot Level sponsors for the Gulfport Senior Center Foundation America 250 Event that held a dinner/dance. We also presented a donation to the Wounded Warrior Ability Camp that serves veterans right here in our neighborhood. These donations were made possible by your continued support of our Post and for that I thank you!
