Post 125 - Officials
Post 125 Executive Board member, Jerry Hofacker, was born in 1946 in Miami, Florida. Jerry graduated high school in 1964 and enlisted in the US Air Force with training as a Radio Intercept Analyst and assignment to the US Air Force Security Service. Duty locations included service with Detachment 2, 6927th Security Group, at Kadena Air Base on the southern tip of Okinawa, the USAFSS Headquarters at Kelly AFB in San Antonio, Texas, and with the 6994th Security Squadron at Tan Son Nhut Air Base in Saigon, Republic of Vietnam.
Following his Air Force service, Jerry went on to graduate from Miami Dade Community College, the University of Florida, and the University of Miami with Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and Master of Business Administration degrees respectively. He worked for Florida Power & Light in Miami and the Texas Electric Cooperatives, Inc for a few years before coming to St. Pete in 1981 to work for the Florida Power Corporation and finally retiring in 1994.
Jerry is a 2-year American Legion member and a current Post 125 Executive Board member who proudly serves "to honor [his] fellow veterans."
