Shirley has been an American Legion Auxiliary Unit 125 member since 1998, joining under her Grandfather, a Navy veteran. She joined to assist other veterans and their families through all the amazing programs the Auxiliary offers. Shirley has held numerous positions within the Unit including 1st Vice, Historian, Children & Youth Chair, Community Service, Veterans Affairs, and Americanism. In addition to current service as Treasurer, Shirley regularly assists programs including Juniors, Children's Christmas Parties, Penny Auctions, and many other fundraisers.
